The standard large numerals have not been encountered.

The redesigned large numerals would have been used very early in 1863 until March 1876. The standard ones were probably lost or broken in early 1863 or never existed (?). In any case, in his book on redesigned large numerals, J. CORNUEJOLS mentions it as existing.

The redesigned large numerals can be distinguished from the normal GC by the 1, which has a very closed head, and the 6, which has a flatter, more open head.
