Feldpost 1914-1918

Field post offices locations

This section lists the localities in the VALENCIENNES region where German military post offices were set up. It is worth remembering that although there is quite a lot of information on the 6th Army from 13th November 1914 to 29th September 1916. Little is known about the period that followed until the armistice, as the archives of the military post offices of the 1st, then 2nd and finally 17th Armies no longer exist.

The number in brackets before the dates is that of the Army, to which either the (sedentary) office or the unit belonged at that time.

This list is far from exhaustive.
